Easter Egg Hunt
April 20th, 2019

The Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held April 20th in the George Kitchin Memorial Park (Upper Park). Volunteers are needed to prepare baskets Friday April 19th at the Boondocks. Contact Lori or Laura for more information. 

City Wide Garage Sale  Day
May 25 & 26, 2019

Want to sell all that stuff you no longer use or need? The Annual City Wide Garage Sale is a great way for residents to participate in the community, make some money and reclaim your space. Sign up at City Hall!!

 

City staff will prepare  printed maps of participating sale locations for the public. These will be available at Frink's General Store and the Boondocks Friday at 4:30 pm.

Memorial Day

Let Freedom Ring!

May 26th, 2019

Join us Sunday, May 26th for a Memorial Day celebration to honor our Polk County Veterans. Festivities begin at 10 am and include venders with arts and crafts, Military flyover at 1 pm, Parade & flag line, blessing of the bikes, live music and raffle for Harley chopper.

Spring Clean
First weekend in June!

Start planning your clean up! 

 

Annual Falls City Big Spring Clean!  Mark your calendars for the First Saturday in June 2019!!! New this year- they are accepting yard debris!

 

Do you need to get rid of stuff? Spring Clean offers resources for vehicle towing, appliance hauling, junk & clutter removal, vegetation control, recycling & hazardous waste collection sites and even bee removal!

Metal items must be separated from regular junk (such as furniture, plastics, wood etc...).

Republic Services will be offering e-waste this year along with clean refrigerator/freezer removal. Bring your old computer and components to discard. 

 

Volunteers are needed to help our senior and disabled neighbors with their collection needs. Please call City Hall at the number listed below to become a volunteer or to be on the list for pick up and removal assistance.

This event is coordinated by the Boondocks and usually posted on the Falls City Community Facebook page.

Arbor DayCelebration!
April 27th, 2019

This will be held in the Fay Wilson Memorial Park (Lower Park). Invasive plant species will be removed. Volunteers needed!
 

Anyone can become a member of the Arbor Day Foundation. They have a ton of flowering shrubs and trees, as well as greenery or those that add splashes of color to your landscape. Select by region for those that grow best in the area and get some good deals too!

Arts & Crafts Fair

Community Thanksgiving Dinner
November 23, 2019
11am- 3pm

 The Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be held at the Community Center November 23rd, 2019 from 11:00 am- 3:00 pm. Everyone is welcome! Food donations and volunteers are needed.
